Temple Bar will be about €7 or €8 a pint.  Move a few hundred yards from there and you're talking closer to €5.  Its not a cheap city.

I can't understand why we let someone else rule our land.

Ive be warning folk on here  to stay away from temple bar - ye will get fleeced

The Irish dont drink there  - its a tourist trap

Dublin is fantastic for the pub scene and nightlife and theres plenty of great areas besides Temple Bar that the T.A can hit and have the craic

Staying in Temple Bar but will do the same as last 2 trips and simply cross the bridge to drink in pubs at half the price:-)

"thats where the action is" .....................ur hugely mistaken if you think temple bar is the only place to be in dublin on night out

get up to harcourt st, camden st, wexford st, baggot st for serious craic  - loads of pubs and clubs and beer prices that are alot more reasonable than temple bar

Stayed in the best western (10 mins on a bus from O'Connel st) when I was over for work a couple of moths back. pubs were around 4 euros a pint until mid night then went up a euro a drink after that
