Possibly a reflection of the 'wee' teams getting more tactically aware and well-conditioned ?

Possibly.  It wasn't only minnows involved though.  Sure there was the likes of Germany tonking Saudi 8-0 but there were also a few 2-2 or 3-2 between decent teams.

Interesting dillema as the bookies have it marked up as mostly well odds on at -2.5 in the first group games. If it went 50/50 and you were betting overs you would get a healthy profit. Hmmm........

New Coral customers are getting 2/1 that Brazil will wear yellow in the opening game. Whilst not guaranteed, could be an easy £20 (max bet is £10)

Skybet 7/2.

Also 40/1 for zero points.

Bet365 offering England less than four points at 2/1.

That's the same bet, isn't it? But with much less generous odds?

Nah. 7/2 is not to win a game. less than 4 points allows for a win and 2 defeats.

Oh, so it does.

Can't find the "not to win a game" bet on Bet365 :(

Done Fred and Hulk as top scorers. Fred seems a good bet, Hulk's a punt.

Brazil to win - 3/1

Brazil win/Fred top scorer -  40/1

Fred top scorer - 22/1 e/w

Eduardo Vargas top scorer - 100/1 e/w

Random 380/1 team top scorer accy:

Josip Drmic (Switzerland)

Edin Dzeko (Bosnia)

Daniel Sturridge (England)

Robin van Persie (Holland)

Jackson Martinez (Colombia)

Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal)

How'd you manage to get the team top scorer accy to work? 888 don't seem to allow it...

I put mine on with Skybet.  They have a "team top scorer" market.

That's quite interesting.  Switzerland are possibly the dodgiest seed to win their group, but there is a decent chance they could finish above France.  The Swiss are a good team and the French are well known for imploding at a tournament.

Might be tempted by that.

I can't understand why we let someone else rule our land.

How does the team top scorer accummulator work if there are players level eg Netherlands Van Persie and Robben end up with 2 each?

Regan, Ogilve, Doncaster, Longmuir and Ballantyne, a quintent quartet trio of tossers - who are somehow still in a job
