Can believe this this has not had a 30 page thread.

Looks like we will start our campaign for the 2016 Euros away from home or elsewhere ....and of course not have the BIG hampden send off for the Team heading to Brazil!!!!!

I Expect work on the stadium will start after potential play off in November 2013 and as stated in the Press finished by Feb 2014.

Even more away friendlies or not at Hampden.......

Also wonder if a bit of Politics going on between SFA and owners - hence very few games at Hampden since the owners decided it should be used for other purposes!!!

There'll be an available stadium in Govan that's not being used for anything else.
Not good enough for their own country, not good enough for Scotland.

I imagine for a Feb finish they will start building before November. Especially with the winter months. Could maybe effect the end of the WC campaign.

The whole thing stinks, aw the bunny rabbits at Westmonster know damn fine that any international success breeds a huge surge in national pride... is it just me that thinks its a bit "coincidental" that we've an englishman making damn sure the rugby team gets beaten regularly and is a stick on for the wooden spoon from the start and we've got Jaar Jaar Binks's retarded unionist Scottish uncle managing the fitba team?

Huh....

Murrayfield would be the ideal alternative for any big games!

Not sure about this..I think 50 - 55k is just about our optimum these days.Certainly cant see the demand being above this in this qualifying group.

SFA will never go to Murrayfield as they do not want it to over shadow Hampden (which it would) expect most our games to take place at Celtic park (SFA gave not got good relations with Ibrox after stupid demands made by rangers last few times we used it)
If you still use tippex
If you think Puma Clyde is the greatest trainer of ever
If Argentina 78 was your favourite world cup
If Watership Down makes you cry

All those that were in charge of Rangers at that time have now disappeared into the sunset therefore it would be churlish for the SFA to continue a grudge for this long if need be.

The experience of the bottleneck and the numbers of fans that were late getting into Celtic Park for the Faroes game the last time needs to be seriously improved if that particular venue is to be used again.
Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose...

They could come to an agreement with the SRU to invest some of the gate receipts into Youth Football and Rugby instead of lining the pockets of the Old Firm.

This is the SRU that are completely skint and are more money grabbing than the SFA you think they can strike a deal with ? Didn't they want half a million for Live Aid and only buckled when organizers threated to go elsewhere.
