Comparing 10 July( end of quarantine for most countries) to present, courtesy of Worldometer.
Spain New cases 7 day average was 480 on 10th, now 1269.
Spain currently infected was 75,627 on 10th, now 86,536.
So quarantine on arrivals from Spain is to be lifted at the end of the week, the reason it was not removed previously was "high numbers". Hate to tell you Nicola numbers are even higher at present. I can't fathom out your logic on this one.
Not lifted for Spain currently or for anyone who had to quarantine from anywhere before Fri 10th. I know someone who arrived from Amsterdam on the 8th, he was told he still had to quarantine till 14 days completed. No backdating freedom.
Cannot deny she is doing good job now with regards to the Virus. My biggest concern is the economy and unemployment which by coming out slowly could be devastating. This will hit youngsters especially hard and Bojo will not assist. Maybe from about 3 weeks ago less emphasis on crushing the virus and more on opening economy.
You normally a reasonable poster ages with myself - maybe?? you did your flight research which is fine but then couldn't help yourself. Disagree or don't believe is fine but keep it amicable. Thanks.
Agree not so many medical workers going abroad on holiday. When UK quarantine was established essential health workers were exempt from the 2 week isolation when entering the country, The Scottish Govt opted out of this therefore classing Doctors and Nurses etc as non essential workers ( hard to believe). Upshot is any Scottish medical worker returning from Spain has 2 weeks quarantine whilst RUK straight back to work. Another Dear Leader pearl.
