  1. THIS "we aint going to qualify anyway so why throw away additional money paying off Strachan and bringing a new manager in" Thats the xmas night out paid for!
  2. I got a tweet from them last night saying the statement was released because their members were disgusted by some of the comments on here and on Facebook. They chose to release the statement because they refuse to engage with anonymous posters on a forum because they cannot verify who the posters are. SOOOO... they cannot verify the posters are true Scotland fans with experience of the current collection situation BUT they will release a statement to all fans based on said posters comments It would be better if they didn't justify themselves to us because when they do their reasons are farcical
  3. Your showing your age mate jealous of your memories though!!!!
  4. Throw us out of the qualifying group that way we dont have to play another match under Strachan
  5. http://stv.tv/sport/football/1373029-gordon-strachan-to-stay-as-scotland-boss-after-board-meeting/
  6. Correct. Our best chance of forcing change is to stay away and hit them where it hurts - in the pocket. Plus the camera's showing an empty stadium any time we play will reflect badly on the SFA also.
  7. So if a message went round the ATAC group about the poor service from the SSC and their attitude towards fans you would release a statement on that as well? All we are asking for is fair treatment. Or do you only release statements that show the fans in bad light so not to harm your relationship with the SFA/SSC?
  8. So on what basis did you decide to release the statement? Was an ATAC representative at the collection point observing the fans collecting their tickets? Or did the SSC staff inform of you of the way they were being treated and you took their word for it? Or neither - you felt like releasing a statement without any sufficient evidence?
  9. so what your saying is the SSC can tell ATAC to release a statement and they will do so right away? (as shown above) But when the fans who pay their wages want to voice their opinion with said statement we need to tell the ATAC representatives who will bring it to the next quarterly meeting and then ultimately it will be laughed back out the door?
  10. All we ask in return is that we are treated fairly. Consider the views of the fans and not just the SSC staff members. Look at the lad who was told his ticket was given away to another member and he was then told to leave the area as they couldnt help him.. if they did their job correctly the lad wouldnt of had an outburst and the girls would of had 1 less unhappy camper. I am not condoning his behaviour and he has admitted himself he was wrong to swear at them but he offered a full apology as soon as he had calmed down yet it fell on deaf ears and his membership was still cancelled. They complain every away game about the way they are treated but have the SFA ever sent a rep to overview the situation or even an ATAC rep? If they have then maybe a route to continue with, if they haven't then maybe something they should consider? I agree the girls dont have the easiest of times dealing with a large number of fans and in reality we are all thankful for the job they do but it has to be a two way street if things are to improve.
  11. Totally agree! It was still a great away trip that brought laughter, beer, sunshine and a Scotland win. You have to savour those moments whether they were meaningful or not
  12. I would rather persevere with the young lads coming through and give them the chance to improve. Players like Fletcher, Berra, Greer etc. aint going to get any better and therefore neither will the team. If we promote the youth and give them a chance to strive maybe we will improve. This campaign is all but over. It was the same players who let us down last campaign so why should we persevere and pay our money to watch them again and again. I think a lot of fans would be happy to see us promote the youth and have a go at it. If it doesnt work then lets face it we were highly unlikely to get out of the group anyway but in return we have a young, healthy team with 5-10 caps each ready get stuck into the euro 2020 campaign with the dangling carrot of 2 of our 3 group matches being played at Hampden if we qualify
  13. haha I think many fans are the same (myself included to an extent) but now I am thinking I would rather find cheaper flights to another destination and have a weekend away with the lads. You get the same beer and banter without having to put up with a mediocre manager picking overrated players and our national team being humped time after time.
  14. Fair play Dave I wish I still had your enthusiasm under the current regime.
  15. It worked for Iceland though. They kept a few decent players (Gudjohnsen, Sigurdsson etc.), got rid of the dead wood and promoted the 21's. They knew they would be garbage for a few years until the young lads matured but look at them now....
