  1. Amazing tonight. Rollercoaster stuff. What all the hard games have been for. Hopefully we can kick coronavirus in the nuts and have a proper party
  2. Have to admit it's really creepy with the empty stadiums. Actually makes the lock down seem more real and worse. Let's hope the games are good
  3. The NHS or any other health care system can never be ready to have the rate of admissions that a full blow covid epidemic would bring. Even if it did we would have thousands of empty beds, ventilators and sitting for years unused. It's just not practical
  4. Was a good game to watch. Bit different from normal games
  5. That's appalling, think I would be at that with a Stanley knife
  6. He said in an interview he had an abscess which had to get cut out if his gum.
  7. At some point someone is going to realise that football only has the money it has because of the magic for the fans. If they kill the magic the money is going to go away. That applies to international football and also teams throwing cup matches in an effort to come 6th in a league. Fans remember a cup final not the time the corporation made 20% more profit. Football is eating itself.
  8. If it gets to the point when someone is making their international debut and instead of feeling on top of the world they are wishing they tried a bit harder then somethings gone wrong.
  9. I understand where you are coming from but we will just have to disagree on it. My thoughts are if he wants to play for Brazil but ends up not being good enough then tough. 99.9% of the world won't get to play for Brazil either and Venezuela shouldn't be treated as a B Team.
  10. Who would have thought loads of investment in the powerhouse of the north might suck jobs from other areas. I'm shocked. I've heard of other firms with plans to move to Manchester too. Must be some sort of tax rebate or something that is making these types of moves worthwhile. On the face of it they are moving jobs to a more expensive city
  11. People have ties to more counties now than in the past so this is going to become more of an issue. With dembele I think he is eligible to play for 3 countries. If he chooses to play for England fair enough and good luck to him. If he is good enough it would be a better chance to win trophies and increase his earnings. If he picks Scotland fantastic and we can all get behind him and get this thread up to 1000 pages. What I wouldn't want to see happening is him waiting till he is say 20 he finds he isn't going to be a superstar and then "settling" for Scotland. The current rules are going to lead to the top countries hoovering up all the best international players in the same way big clubs are doing now if players are waiting to see how good an international team they can play for. 16 year olds can get married, join the army etc so I don't think it's a stretch to pick what international football team to tie yourself to. Yes people can feel they have multiple nationalities but for football I think we need to make a decision for internationals to have a decent future.
  12. How is making someone make a decision when they sign a professional contract any different than locking someone in when they play a senior game or should football go the way of some other sports where players can represent multiple countries as a senior player?
  13. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-46908205 Union inside the union and proposals for an army.
