https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.footballscotland.co.uk/spfl/scottish-premiership/brendan-rodgers-offers-callum-mcgregor-28793190.amp Rodgers hoping back after international break though sounds bit vague on timeline and if they know what issue is. Worrying, thought McGregor was outstanding in last qualifier v Norway at Hampden.

Cheers, i am using the basel frieburg airport for germany game and there is a flight back first thing tuesday after hungary game so an option for return. Freiburg meant to be nice city i hear. Did look at Strasbourg too but looks a pretty small airport as you say. Ill try looking at Paris too, sounds decent option. -

Looked into this, still over 400 quid. -
What flights are people using to get to this game? For family reasons I am having to come back after Germany game (which ive already booked) but looking to go back out for Hungary for couple of days. As expected flights are very expensive. Best found so far is Newcastle to Frankfurt Sat to Mon for £400. Should have booked up earlier but after watching Scotland fukk up for last 20 years didnt want to jinx us!

Agree with this. I think we need to really target Swiss game. I watched them v Israel in qualifiers and thought they were awful defensively. Scrambled a draw v Belarus at home too with 2 injury time goals and drew home and away with Kosovo. They looked to me like a maybe coming to the end of their cycle. The Liverpool midfielder (not even gonna try spelling his name) is absolutely key to Hungary, he single handedly defeated Montenegro in their last qualifier. Could be an issue for them if not fit. Tierney, Robertson, McGinn and McTominay key for us, injuries to any and think we will struggle to get out group.

Goal was very similar to the chance he missed v Norway before Armstrong put us 3-2 up. Still dont think good enough. -
Havent read that but maybe true.

They need Israel to qualify. Massive game tomorrow, Israel v Romania, winner all but qualifies.

Reckon he will play for an hour. Man City must be raging though why play the guy for 45 minutes v Faroes? Odegaard, Sorloth, Meling, Nyland and Nusa are definitely out, probably four of them would start.

Cracking result. Only saw last 15 mins, looked like we rode our luck at times but to be expected. They now need to follow it up though against Hungary. Too often under Gemmill we have had a big result against likes of the Netherlands or Croatia and then followed it up with a poor performance and result.

You are right, and Hornby then signed with Darmstadt who got promoted to Bundesliga. Has started first few games but been injured and on bench since. Dont think he is good enough for Scotland senior squad -

Hickey out for remainder of 2023 due to hamstring injury. Struggling for full backs for upcoming double header. -

Cannot see Gordon playing for Hearts before international break. Think it will be Zander Clark between the sticks for final qualifiers.
