  1. Brownlee Clinic I think it's called. Not sure but some have to be done a certain time before you travel as you need a couple of 'courses'. Where are you going anyway? I was in India for a year, some pretty dodgy places with expired vaccs and Colombia for half a year without and was fine...
  2. Cheers mate Only saw your post today but was talking randomly to Stuart Murdoch outside Waitrose yesterday (how west end!) who said it was her on vocals. Off to see them at a cheapo festival in Benidorm at the end of the month with Suede and Hot Chip too. Canny wait!
  3. I was there on Wednesday and thought it was great. Was Thursday that much better? I do prefer Tigermilk but was gutted when I saw that LLPJ was played!
  4. We spend no more than £45 a week on the 2 of us and we do our shop in Waitrose. We only buy what we need and cook proper meals most nights. We're vegan though and contrary to popular belief, that actually lowers the cost...
  5. My folks are heading over to Lanzarote next January. They're looking to book through ryanair but flights unavailable as yet. Told them I'd find out when they'll be released. Any ideas? Ta
  6. It's great! Me and the girlfriend use it every week. We use it in the Grosvenor and GFT. Think you can use it at any cinema. She bought £7 travel insurance she needed at the time to get it...
  7. If you have time, I recommend a visit to Nagorno-Karabakh (means something like black mountain garden). Fascinating little place. Though would only be for anyone there for more than a couple of days...
  8. I'm just back from Ohrid after having a great time in 2008. Fantastic holiday. Friendly folk, amazing history, great food and cheap booze... 70 quid return from Luton to Ohrid 1st to 5th. 2 hour drive. If I was a Don I'd be getting it booked up now!
  9. Didn't watch the programme but don't think it's a new revelation that Churchill was a horrible human being... http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/thereporters/soutikbiswas/2010/10/how_churchill_starved_india.html
  10. They sound right up my street.... Any more recommendations? Not read many novels this year but keep meaning to re-read one of my favourites, 'Ask The Dust' by John Fante. Semi-autobiographical account of a young aspiring Italian writer, set in the seedy streets of LA in (I think) the 30s, when it was written.
  11. How much is it off a pint in The Judges? I'm in there every week to see what's new on the famous board. might be worth joining...
