WESTA's Achievements

  1. We definitely have enough passengers for a fourth coach, in fact it's almost full. We are currently speaking with two coach companies in Italy to supply this - it's just taking a little bit of time, primarily due to the New Year holiday. We expect to receive confirmation early next week and I will again write to you with details. Of course if you have any queries just get in touch, or if you no longer require space - again just let us know. There will be no WESTA Bus 5.
  2. This is under active consideration. We will post Yes/No as soon as we can.
  3. These buses are now full. If you haven't already booked and paid you will not be accommodated on the buses.
  4. WESTA have organised six buses from Molly's Bar on matchday. These buses are full. Please don't turn up at the bar expecting a seat on the buses unless you have already booked and paid.
  5. WESTA will be arranging some supporters buses in MEXICO. We have been advised that (similar to Lima) travelling away from the stadium after a match, particularly with a capacity crowd, can be a challenge. The ‘City Centre’ - both the commercial and tourist hotel areas are approx. 13-15 km from the stadium. We are therefore arranging buses from the LA CONDESA area of Mexico City to the match and return. LA CONDESA is regarded as an entertainment area and we have arranged two bars to depart from. They are on opposite sides of same street. Bars and restaurants in this area are open late. The buses are open to all fans and we will provide as many (or as few) as required. The distance from LA CONDESA to the stadium is approx. 14 KM. We will ensure a departure time to allow plenty of time for travel and to spend a bit of time in the area of the stadium, it is The Azteca after all. Return will be straight after the game. The cost will be £8 per person We are collecting reservations ONLY at this time - full information will be emailed to those making reservations. WESTA have been doing this for years and all payments will go through our accounts, available for inspection at any club meeting. Any surplus monies will go into our charity pot for later distribution - beneficiaries include the Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal. To reserve seats please email jimbrown.scot@outlook.com stating how many seats, names of all persons reserved for (to avoid duplication) and have MEXICO in the subject header. PERU - seats remain available for the buses in Peru - closing date for reservations 10 May. Email the same address as above with "PERU" in the Subject line.
  6. The representation of its members, fair treatment for all and no discrimination.
  7. Hamish is elected by democratic choice of the membership at an AGM, as spokesman for WESTA. If he is erroneously referred to as something else, we suggest you take it up with the person or body who has made the error.
  8. And yet, we at WESTA think very highly of you. WESTA welcomes members from all airts and pairts.
  9. WESTA (West of Scotland Tartan Army) has a member from Alexandria. We meet on the last Sunday of every month (not July) in the Iron Horse, West Nile Street, Glasgow at 19:30.
  10. For accuracy, WESTA's proposal was to fly to Georgia the day preceding the match and fly home immediately after.
