  1. Inverness CT winning the Scottish Cup a few weeks after my wedding. When people talk about the 'greatest day of your life' I have to make sure the wife isn't within earshot, before waxing lyrical about the win! The semi final against Celtic was also bonkers!
  2. Dorrans called up to replace McDonald.
  3. Anya FGS and Griffiths LGS bets going on...
  4. Germany. Two cautions - the latter for 'delaying the restart of play' when we were 2-1 down.
  5. Was Mulgrew's two cautions not in the same game as his sending off?
  6. Which of our players are a booking away from suspension?
  7. It might have been mentioned elsewhere, but I'd imagine Naismith will get a start v Barnsley in the cup tonight (televised btw). 90+ mins and some goals/assists would be lovely.
  8. The three 'laughable' players have all played sitting midfielder, with McDonald pretty much playing that role 100% of the time - here's his position at the weekend http://www.skysports.com/football/cardiff-vs-wolves/teams/339571 By limiting Jack to only being a sitting midfielder, you are kind of talking yourself out of the argument... as there's no need to bring him in with Brown, Mulgrew, Dorrans, McCarthur, Fletcher all vying for the 2 spots in DM, with many of them also able to play elsewhere on the field. The only way Jack would be worthwhile calling up was if he was a better player than any of them, which he isn't. If he moves to a bigger club and plays against a better standard week in, week out, then yes he'll deserve a call up. Until that happens, he'll struggle to get anywhere near the pitch in a Scotland top.
  9. Hmm... I'd love to know what position you think Tom Cairney and Kevin McDonald play then.
  10. More like Jack getting left out for Fletcher, McCarthur, Morrison, Brown, Dorrans... with the likes of Arfield, Cairney, McDonald n'co left out too, but who are all also better than Jack. McGregor was part of this 'blood youngsters with potential into the squad' routine with them not actually getting a cap - see Gauld, Paterson, McLeod. No issue with that at all. McGregor's been rubbish since then and won't be anywhere near a squad until he turns his form around, but no harm in giving him a taste early in his career.
  11. The only thing certain about Scotland Squad announcements are Dons fans going into meltdown when whatever player they are talking up (Langfield, Pawlett, Jack etc) gets left out for an established player, often already with caps, who is playing at a higher level.
  12. Kevin McDonald scores for Wolves v QPR (who also have Phillips starting). Andy Robertson gets an assist for Hull
  13. I went along as a neutral tonight after wangling a free ticket. It wasn't a foul throw I'm afraid, but like you said the Dons gave possession away regardless. Pawlett had two horrific dives last night - I'm disappointed to see that side of his game hasn't disappeared.
  14. Add in Polworth, Ross and McKay to Shinnie and Christie and you get 5 homegrown players in our cup final squad. It's also worth pointing out that the highlands doesn't have a Scotland Performance school, unlike Dundee, Aberdeen and the central belt.
