  1. Charlie Mulgrew posting on his Instagram "yer das in the Tartan Army". Is that some sort of pop at the support, along the lines of "yer da sells Avon?"
  2. You've clearly never had severe toothache. You wouldn't be able to sleep, the pain can be unbearable. You certainly wouldn't be "holding off" for a few weeks. Despite that he travelled from Liverpool ready to board the flight. The medical team looked at it and told him he needed to stay behind and get it seen to straight away. He wanted to board the flight, and he also offered to pay his own way there.
  3. Robertson played against San Marino. God knows why anyone is questioning his commitment when he was told by the Scotland medical staff to stay at home. Tierney could have pulled out of the squad, but travelled and wanted to play. He was sent home because, again, the Scotland medical staff didn't pass him fit. Remember when everyone questioned Griffiths' lack of commitment and stated he wouldn't have a problem still playing for Celtic? How has that one turned out?
  4. Robertson turned up at the airport and was told to stay at home. Tierney travelled with the team and was deemed unfit and sent home. Yeh, they may have played had it been club games, but clubs are more willing to risk players' health as they are paying the money for them.
  5. Another party about to begin without us. Is there anyone on here who actually remembers Scotland at a World Cup? The only ones I'm old enough to remember are Italia 90 and France 98 (interesting that we always say the Italian version of Italy but the English version of France). Italy I was just a wee kid. Didn't appreciate the build-up or even us being there much. France I was genuinely proud that we were in the opening game, even though it was pure luck of the draw. Thought the Brazil game was actually a damp squib - the fact it was so corporate and hardly any genuine fans there. Norway and Morocco seemed to be proper WC games. Can't believe it's so long since we've had a chance to go back. Germany 2006 was the worst one to miss out on as it was in Europe, great place to go, and we'd have taken an amorous support. Think we had somewhere between 20,000-30,000 in France. Anyway, I've not got many WC stories to tell, but love reading others and their trips.

I think they should keep it as it is, but maybe make one small change, and that being if you buy the season ticket you get one point, putting you on the ladder. I think that's fair enough - the price of a season ticket is roughly the same as many of the away trips, and like you say on the issue of harvesting- very few would harvest on a season ticket.
  7. Best chant of the season goes to Tottenham. "Wake me up, before you go go Who needs Bale when we've got Sissoko."
  8. We could do worse than nick a few off Celtic to be fair. "This is how it feels to be Scotland Missed out on the Euros you know Strachan is here until we lose to San Marino." On a serious note the Kieran Tierney song is good. Could maybe ditch the verse as it's all about Celtic and just keep the chorus. Callum McGregor one too: "Callum, Callum McGregor There's no-one better He's like me and you He loves Scotland too."
  9. Disagree, incidents occur on every away trip. Obviously the more fans there are the more incidents there'll be.
  10. Surprised no-one has mentioned the beer that was being thrown from the back of the stand and landing on fellow supporters after every goal. Aye, cos that's what your fellow fans want, to be soaked by someone else's beer moments after watching the auld enemy score.
  11. It doesn't have to be an ultras section. You could have one block at Hampden dedicated to it, where people wanting to get involved could buy a ticket for it. Then have a sub-forum on here where people can discuss song/chant ideas, and the guys in that section could help get them going at the game. Too many people fear trying something new.
  12. Does your second sentence not explain a big part of the problem?
  13. The last few years, both home and away, the atmosphere has been really lacking. Of course performances play their part, but even before games it's quiet. Before the Slovakia game I think there was one sporadic chant before the team's came out, then the anthems, then a bit of chanting before it died out all too early. I put it down to an aging support. Not that older fans are not going to sing, I think everyone joins in if the chants get going, but more that they're not going to create new chants or get a real buzz going about the place. There's only so many times you can sing we'll be coming and doh a deer in 90 minutes. Celtic had that same problem. Parkhead was very quiet. Then the Green Brigade came along, and although a lot of what they do re-flags, flares and political messages are not everyone's cup of tea, they have introduced a heap of new songs into games while also revising some old ones. Against Man City the place was deafening, full on noise for 90 minutes and yet I don't think you heard the same chant twice. There's chants there that we should be using - namely their own for Kieran Tierney. Anyway, do we need a similar group with Scotland? Young guys given their own section at Hampden, introducing new chants, maybe singing some old Scottish folk songs, and trying to revise a tired song list?
  14. Eh? They came over to thank the fans for coming. Are we going to criticise them for that now?
  15. They got 6500 in 1999. They got offered about 8,000 (though didn't sell that) for the friendly at Celtic Park.
