Plenty of cheap options via neighbouring countries or is Belgrade going to be a complete bugger to get to?

I paid about £180 rtn for Glasgow-Heathrow-Belgrade with BA few years back.

Only sod, BA make there Belgrade flight 9am, so it involves a night at Heathrow.

Wizzair fly there - can get return from Luton from about £50.

If not there's Norwegian & Garmanwings too.

Edinburgh-frankfurt-Belgrade prices don't look to bad.

Was thinking of going via Budapest. Sure I read on here that someone had done the train from there. Anyone recommend?

Lufthansa from Edinburgh for me I think, but all depends on if this game is part of a double header

Lufthansa from Edin look a bit OTT or am I looking at wrong info. Have been looking at Edin/Glas - Luton - Belgrade with EasyJet and WIZZ.

When I checked you could only book up to June 2012. So I put in a random weekend and got flights for approx £180 return.

For the game a couple of years ago in Skopje me and my mate stopped off for 2 nights in Belgrade for a look about

Skopje aint the easiest or cheapest place to get to

Aberdeen – London with BA - £90 return
London – Belgrade with Jat Airlines – £170 return
Belgrade – Skopje with Jat Airlines - £110 return

Worst thing about it, on the way back home on the Monday our flight from Belgrade to London with Jat Airlines was delayed by 8 hours, this meant we missed our connection with BA to Aberdeen and had to fork out £127 each for a 1 way flight to Aberdeen

Belgrade airport is not the best airport to be stuck in for 8 hours with a hangover!!!

I’m going to try and avoid using Jat Airlines again if I go back to Serbia or Macedonia

Ha ha, nah the stewardesses were alright if i remember rightly, price for the flights was a bit much, will hopefully find something cheaper this time round

If you can get to LGW, Adria Airways via Ljubljana or Belgrade itself for Skopje. Pleasant enough with plenty free grog, last time anyway!! Cant remember the prices, but must have been reasonable for me to use them!!
