As many will fondly remember, this incarnation of the board's millionth contribution was posted on 20 December 2007 by The Man From Del Monte (see here). Excitingly, in what seems like the blink of an eye, we are soon to see the breach of the 'magic' two-million-posts barrier.

This morning Flure posted the 1,991630th post on the board. This leaves, by my calculations, a mere 8,370 to go! My guess is that the two millionth post will be made on Thursday 6 October 2011. I also predict that it will have nothing to do with Scottish football and that it will contain a sweary word.

It's inane twaddle of the Flure / Uddyredz variety that's already making me think I need to bring forward my predicted date.

Last time allyhunter offered a 'rummage in his magic sack' for the winner of the date sweep - if anyone wants to trawl through the archived thread it should reveal who was awarded that particular thrill. It was suggested that the poster of the millionth post be presented with a Twix by Admin. The Man from Del Monte, afaia, never revealed if this took place.
