Fair play to you for confronting him Wanday :ok:

Does my head in when I see people acting like that, if that had been a Spanish fan who came to Glasgow and grabbed that guy's sister/wife/girlfriend or whoever else's arse then he would no doubt be furious and rightly so.

Poor lassie must have been terrified at some old drunk grabbing at her like that.
Walk with me oh my lord , through the darkest night and brightest day , be at my side oh lord , hold my hand and guide me on my way.

Still in bed recovering from this trip! Was quite relaxed and not too much drinking until my mates left on the Fri morning and I had a night by myself in X hostel. Think a good few Scots had been there earlier in the week. Quality hostel. Ended up getting smashed on the pub tour and staying the night with one of the girls from the hostel on the roof terrace! Bed at 7am and up at 8am to get to the airport on sat morning, still feel like i'm dying today!!

Arrived home last night just after 6.
Overall a great trip.
Stayed at Teralta Apartments in Benidorm where a number of Scots family’s were holed up.
Really relaxing and friendly atmosphere by the poolside and great staff. Good food on offer and reasonably priced.
Cheers for your company to any who read this.
Benidorm was a bit wild in the early hours, but overall only seen the one girl blootered lying on the ground and another guy
sound o on a bench, which was surprising with the price of drink, the heat and 24 hour opening.
Some of the clubs left a bit to be desired with their entry policy for young kids with what was on show.
But that said a bit about the parents that had taken them in as well.
Spent the Monday in Alicante and found it to be a really nice place and a welcome break from the madness of Benidorm.
No problem with using my limited Spanish in getting what I wanted.
Good day out on the day of the match in a wee Spanish cafe bar near the stadium, and eventually met Ando76 to give him his match ticket.
Joe McGunnigle eventually obtained a ticket as well.

Oh, and the result didn’t come as much of a surprise.

Now, fars the Andrews?

I did Saturday and Sunday in Benidorm with Billy Nomates travel.

Had a few beers Saturday lunchtime with guys I met on the bus from airport - few more beers watching Jeff Stelling and the football results in Uncle Ped's bar which was dirt cheap. watched the Lichtie game first of all in Stretford End then next door cos coverage was better.

Got absolutely smashed in Bendirom at night - disgarced myself from a TA point of view - was chatting to 2 burds in the pub for a wee while - one was no bad the other had a face like a bulldog chewin a wasp - but her hair was scraped back and up in a bun - I asked her if she was on Jeremy Kyle the next day with that hairstyle - they called me an ignorant bassa and fecked off - so apologies for not preserving decent TA image but my patter's shyte.

Sunday night in Benidorm - saw 2 excellent comedians - one was called Mickey Lewis - son of Blakey in on the Buses. But the highlight has to be Girls Aloud The Tribute - fantastic followed by Black Eyes Peas Tribute band. Met the Bolton TA in Loch Ness pub then on way back home came across Sticky Vicky - not literally.

Met mates in Alicante on Monday - I really enjoyed both Alicante and Benidorm for different reasons. Would never go to Benidorm on holiday though - full of knuckle draggers. Old town bit was nice though.

Great trip.

Great trip.
Everybody we encountered from staff at the Alicante Hills(ton) to the couple who got out of their car to try to ring a couple of taxis for the 5 or 6 of us weary footsoldiers at 3.30am were brand new.

Very friendly locals on the streets walking from the Duke to the ground & no trouble getting in although we did leave the Plaza Luceros at 7.20 & got to the ground at 8.15 including managing a drink in a small Chinese Bar which charged 4 euros for 3 drinks :)

The salsa bar a barman recommended to us was pretty good too & the intimate dancing of the Columbian couple just shaded the two Scots guys one wearing a snorkle who obviously thought it was Strictly Come Pissed Dancing.
The sight of the guy trying to enter the wc while wearing a rubber ring will stay with me for a while too. :-))

Occurred to me later I never heard one police siren all evening. :ok:

True to yer word, a credit to the TA.

Overall a good trip. Travelling out on match days is a bit of stress but got there in the end.
Benidorm does come across as divided by the two main beaches, one being quieter, the other being the UK in
the sun that has been well commented on.
Stupidly ko'd on all inclusive booze wrote off the Wednesday. Still got a laugh at my mate who made himself a bit ill - must've
managed to swallow some pool water on top of the beer (daft muppet).
Kept relatively quiet after that focusing on wanting to see the rugby and EPL matches on Saturday.

As always I enjoyed every minute of the trip. Travelled with the guys from the Absent Friends Tartan Army and stayed in the Alicante Hills. Met some great people once again who I'm sure we'll stay in touch with down the years. Thought Alicante was a great destination for the game and the bars and restaurants`around the marina were some of the best we've encountered on trips. So to the people of Alicante, the Dalbeattie girls, Linda from Ayr, Val and wee Darren Fletcher and anybody who had the misfortune to see my dancing in the Coyote Ugly Bar, thanks for the laughs and the memories.

We got the train down to Alicante for the game, but had to get off for a pash after about 4 stops (never checked to see if there was toilets on the train ha ha !!) on the way home i thought the areoplane was playing scotland songs, When i realised that was not the case i thought it was a group at the back of the plane. When i turned round and everyone was sleeping i realised to my horror it was all in my own head. So that kind of sums up the abuse i put my body through on the 5 day trip. The best football trip yet!

As I was saying...

Had that hallucination on a train the day after 'Bordeaux' at France '98.

So realistic...... Flower of Scotland on the pipes repeatedly, over and over.
Thought it was odd the guy only knew the one tune, then went for a nosey in the next carriage... NOTHING.
Just French people sat reading their books or looking out the window
