On my phone, so can not post link, but the Huddersfield Examiner claims that Levein wants to have Rhodes and Steven Fletcher tried out as a strike partnership.

Would be great, hope Levein and Fletcher can agree to disagree and move on and do what's best for both there careers and Scotland.

Hold on.... So not only would Fletcher be back, but in a 2 man frontline?

"National boss Craig Levein has made a string of trips to watch Rhodes this season as he builds towards the 2014 World Cup qualification campaign.
Sources North of the border suggest he would like to pair Rhodes with Wolves frontman Steven Fletcher for the tests ahead."

Word on the street is that Levein and Fletcher have worked out differences away from media spotlight and Fletcher is set to be named in Mondays squad

The article makes no reference to the fact that Fletcher hasn't been selected for Scotland for a number of matches now.

I'd wager the Huddersfield Examiner isn't aware of Fletcher's exile and they've put 2 and 2 together and come up with 5.

The Huddersfield Examiner is always going to be Rhodes-Focused, not Scotland-and-Fletcher-focused.

The Huddersfield Examiner isn't even published in Huddersfield these days & tends to just employ a few local reporters & recycle stories from Mirror Group newspapers who own it.

I'd treat anything you read there with a pinch of salt. I stopped buying it years ago.

Delighted if that's the case, but I'll believe it when I see it. And if it is true CL deserves a bit of credit for getting it sorted. Hopefully fletch can come back in without a media circus surrounding the whole thing.

Hope it is true, and Levein was at a wolves game few weeks back, but press never made a big deal on it (no headlines like "Levein snubs Fletcher at Wolves game") but will wait till 10am on Monday morning
