3&2 victory in 3rd of club singles tonite.course is in great nick...the greens are superb.
Played shit but luckily i was playing a 70 year old. He was still playing off 13 mind yi
They're the toughest ones to play, can't hit it far now,but always down the middle and into the green.
My dad is like that now, makes it look easy.

Technically that's not single figues yet. You need to get down to 9.4 before you can call yourself a "single figure" handicapper. I know loads of folk who have hovered between 9.5 and 11ish for years and just can't break that psycological barrier and get to "single figures". Hopefully you can make before you sneak back up to 11 again. It's amazing how quickly it can happen.
Lowest I ever got at West Kilbride was 9.6. ![]()

Played Royal Troon on Monday - excellent day.
I started off Par, Par, then stuck one OB on the third.
Played off the Medal Tees and shot 95. Should have been below 90 but my putting was horrendous (first round of the year)
Playing West Kilbride, Barassie, Kelburn, Machrahanish (Dunes and Old Course) in the coming weeks.

I paid full whack for Troon. Was actually an auction prize and played with Rory McKenzie of Killie and Scotland 21s. He's a scratch golfer. Never holed a putt all day, his second round of the year and shot 73 off medal tees. ![]()
Got a deal for Mackrahanish, so working out not too bad. Getting signed on to WK, Barassie and Kelburn.
