There are no direct flights from Scotland to Luxembourg so if you want to start your trip from Glasgow you will have to go via either London, Amsterdam or Paris. If you go from Edinburgh you can also go via Frankfurt and Brussels in addition to those from Glasgow.

just for everbodys info on flying to frankfurt from edinburgh, i am assuming you are all talking about ryanair! their flights fly into hahn airport which is an hour on the bus from trier, where its about 45 mins on the train into the centre of luxembourg!

Do Lufthansa not do EDI-FRA flights just like their ABZ-FRA route?

Unfortunately Ryanair have stopped that route. It would have been perfect for this fixture as there is a direct bus from the airport to Luxembourg.

7 of us booked edi to fra with Lufthansa, we were originally booked with BMI.

Yes but FRA is the main airport and Hahn is in the sticks !
