Just another Unionist tactic.
Thatcher did the exact same when she became Prime Minister. The miners made a pay claim and she immediately agreed to it.
This was to encourage the miners to form a false view that the Tories were afraid of them and they fell for it.
Thatcher began stockpiling coal for the next round and soon had a years supply laid by, with the now infamous result.
The same tactic - without the coal - is being employed today. Cameron knows he cannot defeat the core Scottish position (the posh boys think in military terms) but by appearing to lie down, they hope to convince enough of the general voters that 'everything is now OK' and normal sleep-walking has been restored.
The tattered state of the economy is being kept well out of sight, a phoney position which will be underlined by the compliant 'free press' and will be revealed with vicious severity upon us once the Referendum is safely past. Once that has taken place we will then wake up in a real Third World country, a satelite of a desperate failed terrorist state.
This is the Unionists last, deperate throw of the dice.
We must not fall for it.
