I'm putting together a gig in Glasgow on the 18th June and thought I'd throw a shameless plug on here - hope that's OK Mods

The gig's to launch Refugee Week in Scotland with all profits going to the British Red Cross and Scottish Refugee Council (my request for it to be the Rangers fighting fund was roundly rejected by one and all! !).

So if your a fan of King Creosote or and the lads from Fence Collective, then this might be a nice night out for you in June.

It's not often that I have to bow down to people from Fife (Rossy being the obvious exception) but the lads have put together a great line up for the night, and are bringing along a few special guests to make it a really special evening.

Would really love folk to support the event - even if that's just to stick it up on your Facebook page - it would be greatly appreciated.

Pull a sickie :d

If your looking for an amazing band who you'd love and is playing in Aberdeen, I'd recommend Admiral Fallow. They're at the Lemon Tree, I think next week.

Great debut album, about to relaese follow up and they're fantastic live!!

I guarantee you'd like them :ok:

No chance of Kid Canaveral being added? They might have tempted me out on a Monday night.

There must be lights burning brighter, somewhere...

Ages since I've seen King Creosote but they are very good live.

Genuinely the most viewed member profile on the TAMB - 14,581 and rising!

Saw Kid Canaveral at the CCA a few weeks back - pretty good, but Pictish Trail were much better on the night.

Fruitmarket's a lovely place for a gig on a Monday night, and who knows, Kenny said he's bringing guests, so might be one of those nights when you never know what will happen.

Also, Randoph's Leap are meant to be a good up and coming band.

Saw King Creosote at the Lemon Tree not too long ago. Loved it. Been playing a few CDs almost non stop ever since. Diamond Mine is superb.

Looking forward to Admiral Fallow, there's been a few recommendations of them on here.

Cheers!

I'm jealous - have seen them twice now, and they are fantastic!!

Go on their site and you can listen to the new album that's out next week.

Love this wee live unpugged number they did in Mull ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmuECsyeksk&feature=player_embedded#!

Sorry, I misread the title and thought of this (honestly, hence I was unsure about some of the replies).

KC and Johnny Lynch (from Pictish Trail) have been amazing in helping us put our gig on - think it's going to be a cracking night.

You'll love Admiral Fallow - shame their hibbies :d
