Howdy,

Many English football grounds have one or two plus Celtic and Rangers. On my last visit to our National stadium I thought wheres the SFA's tribute to some of the Scottish greats?

Denis Law, Billy Bremner, Kenny Dalglish, perhaps Joe Jordan? Maybe some famous Scottish managers who won european trophies? Busby, Stein, Ferguson. Tourists would love em' too.

Berti Vogts... Haha.

What do you chaps think? Time to campaign the SFA?

You've not noticed the museum then? Some great tributes in there.

BTW, welcome to the board :)

Love the museum but think some large statues of Denis Law etc outside would be a nice touch. Many grounds have them now. Even Engerlund...

Most the names you mention are either, not dead, or already have a statue at their club ground.

Also, its an argument the SFA can not win. Any statue/tribute they put up, the narrow minded folk out there would kick up "SFA showing their true colours".

Plus it's Queen's Park's ground, so they should really have first dibs on any statues that are erected...

Or we could have an empty plinth as a tribute to Steven Fletcher. :d

Sadly, we just call it a room.

I'm thinking of writing a letter to the SFA and suggest maybe they start with a statue of Denis Law or Billy Bremner then take it from there. We could hire a van and steal the statues outside Old Trafford and Elland Road... :)

Don't steal the one from Old Trafford, it's great to have 2 City legends waving to each other outside "their" ground :ok:

Forgetting that Hampden is owned by Queens Park, i don't see how we can put statues to honour individual players considering we have had a national side for 140 years adn therefore will have had a large number of greats over those years, it would just be about the last 40 years or so. Having the museum and the Hall of Fame is a suitable way to honour our greats.
