Belgium have been by far the better side. Have got all the possession.
Done nothing with it though. Always difficult to judge on one performance, and a friendly at that, but based on today if you keep it tight at the back it looks like they'll find it difficult to break down. They look prone to the odd lapse at the back. All England's chances have come after Belgian mistakes.

That sounds like the 4-5-1 charter.

England have a very solid back 4 though. They'll find it much easier to break through Caldwell, Berra, Hutton etc than Terry, Lescott, Cole etc.
What I do think is that watching this game, Levein will already be devising some kind of crazily defensive 4-5-1 (even at Hampden).

I got dragged to this game !!! [don't ask] , first time i have been out numbered by england fans !!! Anyway saw Levein in the bus park after the game -
he was asking a driver how to park one !!!!

He was probably also asking the bus driver if his granny was born in Inverness even though he was 60, disabled and asian.....

Seen Croatia - Norway on Saturday and Croatia looked lacking of ideas. They seemed to struggle creating opportunities upfront and didn't offer much at all. Defence looked all over the shop as well. Vida had a nightmare, missing kicks, punting 10 yard passes out for throw ins and slack marking for the Norway equaliser.

I expect Croatia to start dropping down the rankings over the next few years. I think they'll finish 3rd in our group.
