Due to local weather concerns (high winds) and cancellation of the Jazz Fest today I have decided not to open tonight. And we typically close for Memorial Day Holiday (Monday) as well.
So ,for those still in town I apologize for not being able to serve you one last pint.
I will post again with some video of Saturday if I can figure out how to post video here.
All I can say is you rocked Jacksonville, wow!
Tartan Army in full force. Quite spectacular!
You are a fantastic group of individuals all devoted to the same cause. I don't think there is anything like it I can compare it to really. Very rare stuff you have. Steeped in tradition that goes way, way back obviously.
Hope all have a good flight home and for those continuing on holiday/vacation enjoy yourselves.
Note to Zander: Inviting me to the match and sitting in your section was extremely gracious of you. Thank you!
Note to Robbie: Thank you for the shirt!
Note to all the Pipers: Great job, the locals loved every minute of it.
Note to Dave: Thanks for getting the ball rolling (nice dance moves as well).
Note to WallPaper Ricky: A star is born (picture on front page. Nice). Have your own stickers even!
Note to all: Thank you very, very much!
What started out as an idea for a bit of extra commerce turned into a once in a lifetime experience for me.
You made the front page of the local paper!
I shall stay in touch and follow your future shenanigans here on the forum.
Thank you my new friends. When I see you again the first pint is on me.
Best,
Mark Hemphill

These 'yanks' here rarely have a queue out the door as you did. But then I realized how much beer you guys consumed. Our new record!
Well over 12 kegs (1/2 barrels=15.3 gallons = about 1500 draught pints) and about 1000 bottles of beer.
This does not even take liquor consumption into consideration.
Most of this was on Friday and Saturday! Thats about 20 drinks per person in 48 hours.
You guys are superhuman!
People still talking about The Tartan Army here.
Cheers!
Mark

But he had a 3 for 2 offer didn't he?
So maybe it's 30 each on average.
Vote No and forever lose the right to complain about a UK Govt that does not represent Scotland
Vote Yes in 2014 and get the government we want, every single time

That would be a bit more acceptable but still not much if an effort in a 48 hour period. What happened to the good old days when we could drink pub dry in a day? Pity myself and captain vodka never made it or I'm sure we could have helped push the average upBut he had a 3 for 2 offer didn't he?
So maybe it's 30 each on average.

Now that I know that I will not offend I will give the actual number on Saturday: 3000 drinks served.
I am guessing most of that was consumed by the TA so, yes, 20 is a conservative number.
And you did drink us dry of Bud, Bud Light & vodka. That is a first for us!
Well Done!
Dave, see u later today, stay dry (it's raining here).
Best,
Mark

You must have just met the wimpy branch of the TA. Real men don't drink those beers or Vodka
Hallelujah!! Glory, glory hallelujah!!!
