The Angus Kiltwalk

20 miles from Montrose to Arbroath

We're looking for 250 people to join us and raise £50,000

In aid of
- TACC
- Aberlour
- CHAS
- CLIC Sargent

Teams...of 5 or more can also nominate another children's charity, nursery, school etc to get 50% of the funds they raise.

The Kiltwalk continues its 2012 tour of Scotland, visiting “Scotland’s birthplace” for a bracing 20 mile walk along the North Sea coast.

We’ll set off from the former Royal Burgh of Montrose, past the Montrose Basin and onto the country roads and paths south to Arbroath, home of the Abbey, the Declaration and the smokie!

As always we’ll have pipers, pit stops provided by our charity partners and live music in the evening

Checked with Ted and he is in Inverness that day but will look into some other bands if Ted cannae make it. Anyone in the area wanting to help with getting posters in shop windows and pubs drop me a pm.

Have you registered yet? Just waiting on word back from Montrose FC with regard to a starting point for the walk.

I'm looking for some musicians that can play after the Angus Kiltwalk.Looking at a couple of Arbroath bars close by each other in case we have an overspill.Be looking to start the entertainment around 14:30 ish.

THE ANGUS KILTWALK HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL OCTOBER.

SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE. IT IS BEING RESCEDULED TO OCTOBER 7TH AND WILL NOW BE 26 MILES FROM MONTROSE TO CARNOUSTIE.WE ARE LOOKING TO INCORPORATE A 10K WALK AT THE END SO THOSE WHO WANT TO TAKE PART BUT ARE UNABLE TO DO 26 MILES CAN DO SO.

Hi folks

A bit more background on Peever's newsflash...

The interest in the Angus Kiltwalk has been growing over the last week or so, with several celebs, MSPs, football clubs and newspapers showing their support.
We also had feedback from various groups thinking about signing up that...

(a) they could do with a bit more time to train for it and to get their teams organised; and
( they would like to see the 10km Wee Walk added, similar to Loch Lomond. This event will be great for families and people not quite ready for 26 miles as Bruce says

Who are we to argue?

So we've stretched it to the ususal 26 miles marathon which takes us to the gofling mecca of Carnoustie and added a Wee Walk that will do a loop around Carnoustie and will finish at the same time as the main walk.

The Wee Walk will be open for registration asap, but in the meantime registration for the main Angus Kiltwalk is online at ww.thekiltwalk.co.uk
