some priceless comments lads, made me laugh anyway

For the record, we were pants....................................still wouldnt have missed it for the world though :)

Personally dont think we will make Brazil, a play off at best behind Germany , a play off defeat and qualification deserves a 3rd campaign even if we are painfull to watch, ,

Exactly. Glad you enjoyed the party and party it was, the Irish fans were fantastic it sounds. Got a few Polish pals and 2 of them emailed me saying the Irish were brilliant.

I was surprised at how Ireland didn't seem to hit the ground running especially considering the undefeated run and the hard to beat way that Trap had them playing pre-tournament. Was it not about 14 games undefeated until Croatia?
Be interesting to see what happens, if the likes of Keane, Given, Dunne, Duff will retire and a few of the U21s or younger lads get a chance?
A difficult group for your guys with Austria who seem to be slowly improving and Sweden but you'll have a chance. You do better than we do on the road and can win games in Macedonia, Armenia etc and it might be these results that helps get 2nd place in your group.

everybody knew we were up against it (havent had a chance to see the games again so not 100% sure) but individual errors cost us goals and generally poor defending despite the unbeated record and we barely threatened to score over 270 mins. Croatia 1-0 after 3 mins, 2-1 with 3 mins to HT and 3-1 3 min after HT kinda knocks the stuffing out of you. athough 3 mobile our sponsor might have a wry smile Spain 1-0 after 3 mins - effectively game/our tournament over

dont think Given and O shea were fully fit but no real excuses. Duff Dunne I think will definetly go, Given may stay on think Keane has said he will. His international record is outstanding and has scored against most of the top european sides in big games though I dont think we are too bad with striking options. Its no creativity in midfield at all thats the worry and we are brutal to watch even if we go 1-0 up and we freqquently have only to end up a draw

On a side note, practicaly everybody have only had good things to say about Poland and would have no hesitation in going back for a game or a holiday. No obvious rip offs in Poland either and people really friendly though UEFA seemed to designate 4/5ths of the ground as Cat 1 so got stung for 720 euro as opposed to the 180 euro for 6 tickets. The Polish tourist board I am sure are delighted

God knows how much Brazil will cost ££££££££££££, Poland probably cost £2K + spending (for 2 in decent hotels) I suspect they will do a Ukraine and try and rip the pish out of it, so it may be one to avoid from a financial sence. plus 3 aways next year sweden,Austria Germany will leave the kitty low

I think you've got an alright chance at least for 2nd in that group. Sweden are a solid team but they were disappointing at the Euros. When you break down their squad apart from Zlatan, they are all pretty average players and Ireland could most definately beat them at the Aviva. I think Austria might improve, they have some talented young lads coming through Arnatouvic, Pehlivan, Dragovic and Alaba look nifty players but could be like Belgium and fail to bond together.

I'll pass on the well wishes to the Poles. The two that I know who live out there and the ones who live here were really aprehensive about their country getting a bad reputation and there being trouble from some of the hooligans but barring the Poland-Russia game and the odd incident it seems to have been a great tournament. So they will be delighted to hear that your lads had a brilliant time out there.

Good luck for Brazil. I think your lads have a better chance than us in getting there but looks likely to be costly.
