Just wondering what the thoughts are?
If they go into SFL Division 3 they'll still have a big fan base which will be good for that division and its teams in that season. As they move up the divisions it will be good for those ones. Then they'll be back in the SPL after a few years.
Okay, not great for Rangers I know but they'll build up and the fan base will keep them going.
Would Rangers In Sfl Div 3 Be Good For Scottish Football?

I'm yet to be convinced that the 3rd Division will be good for anybody but the Rangers supporters.
Has many Liechtenstein/Scotland twin-flag badges.
Will swap.

It's such a shame it's only the "minority" that want Rangers to get the punishment they deserve.
Just like it's only the "minority" who sing all the dodgy songs...................... and ...........
At the end of the day, Rangers are in the minority when it comes to Scottish football. One vote.

I think it will be good for general fairness. If you go bust then you go bust. And ofcourse they would be allowed into division 3. Scottish football wouldn't turn down a club with potentially 50k fans at home games for a Cove Rangers or Gala Fairydean. They would soon be back in the spl in 3 years anyway

its good and proper they get demotted. the lower leagues will benefit financially, and even SPL clubs might with more competition for 2nd spot perhaps attendances will go up.
the Dundee untd chairman reckons they could lose half a million? but the tv deal stands, crowds could be up, plus so will Dundee giving them four derbies to relish!!

Be great for Clyde, 2 home sell-outs and a guaranteed 12 points................
Independence for North Croy.

What would it be like for the team that goes down from the 2nd as (presumably) tRfc go up.
They'd land in a 3rd div full of Champagne Charlies perhaps? Oh wait, Ibrox keeps all the gate money (I think).

Why let a club in that has a good chance of entering administration again? We saw last season how Ranger's couldn't survive without Europe money; we haven't seen any serious attempt at long term cost cutting while in administration; we are yet to see how many more millions they will lose in the future with reduced attendances.
We do not negotiate with Cricketers.
