Excellent 'get out clause' jargon from the SSC there.

So I have 6 points and would expect to have the same (or more) by the time Wembley arrives and therefore guarantee a ticket anyway.  However I was unsure if you would get a point when reserving your Wembley ticket through the Season Ticket.

I contacted the SSC and got the following response:

Hi David,

Just to clarify, if you buy the season ticket package, you will still get the away point after the Scotland V England match and if you just bought the ticket for the match individually when it goes on sale you will still get the away point as you normally would.

Kind regards,

SSC

I thought it was the Commercial Director who was behind all this? Or do we assume Regan said aye ok then ran for cover like he normally does.
If you don't want to see Scots represent England at the Olympics, why are you happy to see English represent Scotland all year round.

I feel a little sorry for the SSC at the moment, sometimes a big allocation is just as difficult to administrate as small allocation.

I honestly believe that everyone who is on a point and wants a ticket will get one. I would not have split it 15/5, maybe 10/10 as 5k allows a window of uncertainty.

I will hopefully be on 3 points but will still get the season ticket as my dad, my brother and I go together so this takes any hassle out getting tickets together.

The SFA are taking advantage of an opportunity that they have been given through volume of tickets. If we had a potential 23,000 people going into a ballot for 15,000 tickets we would be facing the same vitriol only from different people.

Ok, been thinking about this a bit more. So we have something like 11,000 fans who go to away games (one point or more). If we assume half of them regularly attend home games and likely to take up the home game package then that leaves 5,500 fans with one point or more chasing 5000 allocated tickets. If we assume that only 90% of the 11,000 wanted to go in the first place then actually there might well be enough allocated for all on 1 point or more to get a ticket. Zero pointers will miss out but that was always going to be the case anyway i.e if allocated as normal one pointers would be ok with zero pointers going in a ballot. Only diifference is that instead of a ballot they can buy a package to secure.
Obviously all falls down if I am way out on the travelling support who attend the home games and take up the package.
Its not great, and I think the SFA should offer refunds on the membership to those who don't get a ticket due to the rules change but not as bad as I initially thought for one pointers.

no one with any points will miss out, if you are on 0 points and dont get an away ticket then you cant really complain let alone get a refund on your membership

Don't see the problem,we have 5000 or less that go to away matches regulary.
They, like me, will be catered for just the same
If your that bothered about going to wembley, supporters can buy a season ticket.
Sfa need to make money the same as everybody else

Just had a Twitter reply from SFA.... Any tickets left over from the 15k season ticket sales will be added to the 5k for normal sales!
If you still use tippex
If you think Puma Clyde is the greatest trainer of ever
If Argentina 78 was your favourite world cup
If Watership Down makes you cry
