I can see no reason why the SSc feel that they were put in an awkward position,or why any of the"almost 56" should feel embarrassed!
The Wales supporters club had no mention of scottish addresses or the like in its terms and conditions until this week!
For "low pointers" to try and secure a match ticket it was a perfectly legitimate route.
OK it did not come off.
But some of the talk of embarrassing themselves etc is judgemental nonsense.
Anyone who has ever bought a ticket for club matches in england will have had to register or join that clubs ticket scheme.
I should probably be hanging my head in shame that I registered on both West Ham and Blackpools scheme so as to attend the Championship play off at Wembley ! (As it turned out the seats available through Blackpools were best.)

Probably just an exercise to foster good relations with their Welsh counterparts

yeah i reckon they can guarantee 3-10 pointers as there are 3049 in that bracket

there are 551 tickets already for 2 pointers of which there are 771 so i reckon 1 pointers will be in with a shout too

Phoned ssc yesterday who suggested there may be a good chance for 2 pointers to get a ticket.

There are normally Scots in the away without any problems and the SSC usually to turn a blind eye. I was in the Spanish end in Alicante and there were no problems at all. I paid over the odds for the tickets right enough, using the Spanish Ticket Bureau (£90 each IIRC) but that was my choice.

I was going to join to the Welsh Supporters Club , albeit I didn't in the end up. I understand the WSC is not exactly oversubscribed, so I don't think many, if any of their fans would be missing out, but I can understand why the Welsh FA don't want away supporters in the home end.

Mind you, now the Welsh have got wind of it, I'm sure some of them will be joining just to take up their guarenteed five ticket allocation for the game in order to to sell at a profit in the pubs of Cardiff. Oh well, thems the breaks.
