Theres not a hope in hell Miller will play in that role.

Let 2014 be the start of a better Scotland.

Miller is reportedly playing absolutely gash in Canada.. I cant see him getting a start against the Serbs.
On a brighter note, ticket sales seem to have taken off in the last few hours. Looks like it might be a sell out.

Stevie Thompson then said he preferred Caldwell in the holding role and would play Webster at CB. I think that's how we'll line up with either Miller or Rhodes benched....

Must say, if anything last night showed we have some good options.

I was really quite surprised by Pat's team. Miller wide right? I would like to see us play the same system as last night with Caldwell sitting in front of the defence. Playing 4-1-4-1 seemed to work well for the Irish against the Serbs last night.

Aye we can!

My team:
C Bell
Hutton Webster Berra Fox
Brown Adam
Morisson Naismith Snodgrass
McCormack

Levein's team:

Marshall
Hutton Webster Berra Fox
Caldwell
Morisson Brown Adam Naismith
Miller/Mackie

At least McCormack looks like somebody who can make an impact from the bench, as he did in Porto for Rangers, which was a priceless goal.

Just as well I got to the kebab shop before Charlie Adam

One thing I will say about last night was that the roll of Snodgrass was very important. He very rarely came off of the touch line when we had the ball in midfield meaning that the left back had to move out wide leaving a gap or one of their midfielders had to drop deep leaving them light in midfield. Sometimes he was just left out there on his own providing a good outlet when we were closed down in midfield.
That more than anything gave us options that we haven't had in a long time and gave our game a lot more width. That isn't so much to do with the player himself but the roll he was given and hope it's something Levein sticks with.

It's going to be 4-1-4-1 so;

Gordon (if he finds a club, or Gilks)

Hutton Caldwell Berra Bardsley (or Fox if Bardsley is unfit)

Brown

Morrison Adam Dorrans Naismith

Rhodes

I'd like to see Brown play the holding midfield role, and for Adam to play a bit further up the pitch. We need to find a good right back (or maybe move Bardsley over there) as at the moment, Hutton is having a mare and was one of the low points from last night.

Webster and Berra at centre half could see us getting absolutely thumped if Serbia are a decent team.
