To be honest, I have absolutely no respect for your opinion on football.

He's got a point though, the SPL is awful and Reynolds isn't upto standard in a position where we have very few players of a level good enough to call on, even as a stand in

Notice in the papers today there is a interview with Gary McAllister who said he has been going to watch a couple of games for Strachan, and at Motherwell v Celtic he mentions Keith Lasley as being the stand out player that grabbed his, and Strachans, attention.

If Greer can be in and around the squad at a similar age, chance for a call up for Nigeria game?

That's worrying

If Strachan left the Scotland job to go to Celtic he needs his head checked, anyways he enjoys his punditry/family to much I'm sure I saw him say to go back to club management.

Sneaky feeling it'll be McNamara who takes over at Celtic this summer once Lennon leaves

Mackenzie Heaney was a standout in the victory shield winning side at only 14 - picked us ahead of England so hopefully he will progress and stick with Scotland

Re: others, Archer I think can go all the way, Henly I have heard good reports on and apparently is rated as a good prospect by Reading (been on loan at Aldershot for the first half of the season and just went on loan to Maidenhead last week.... also worth pointing out Reading have had something like 5 players involved in various Scotland squads over the last year), Gott is only 17/18, but already established himself as the Coventry No 2 keeper..... Ruddy is one to just wait and see what will happen.

Also further down the line, McCrorie looked good in the U17's last week (though made a couple of mistakes, but will improve with age), Liverpool have two Scottish kids on their books, with Ryan Fulton their academy No1 (just signed a pro-contract and played in the NextGen Series.... England have apparently been sniffing around to get him to Switch back to England, but his Dad wants him to play for us) and Ryan Crump his back up.... also the kid at Hamilton Accies who is apparently going back out to Athletico Madrid again this summer on trial.

Good info wanderer! Well done.

The Hamilton Accies goalie has now signed for Celtic but is only 13 anyway so will
Be 8-10 years before we really know what sort of player he is going to be, if he isn't a bin man by then that is...
