WHW - Scotland's gift to the world (along with whisky).............for outdoor types like me. love it. Appart from the obvious, it's very sociable and you get to wander through some brilliant wee villages every 10 miles. Wear trainers. Best for the distance (did 238 miles from Buckie to Milngavie in 7 days in trail running trainers). Big heartache is blisters and chaffing. Compeed pads and vaseline required. merino wool socks too.

Rob Roy Way is decent but not well signposted and not as sociable as quieter. Drymen, Aberfoyle, Callander, Killin, Aberfeldy then Pitlochry. What else can you say. Stunning

In Topic: No More Customer Service?

Reason to join is to get tickets for the World Cupor Euros.......but we're not making it there so......

SFA have a monopoly. They take megabucks from us every year (about £1M or am I off the mark there?) Where's the service? I phoned on the Monday after the Serbia game to ask about Wales tickets and got an agency woman who said the SFA had told her they wouldn't be able to answer any questions until the Friday because they were too busy. I am a paying customer FFS.

System is also flawed when Ballotts are necessary. Two mates went to exactlythe same games but one had 3 points more than the other. ONe was successful in a Ballott and went from 2 to 3. next game needed 3 points so he got up to 4, then 5. Meanwhile the other was still sitting on 2 - double punished by not getting a ticket or point for the first game.

SO why pay £45 a year? Because it gets you a home game ticket.............which are easy anyway. Because it gets you away game tickets.........well only if you go to a lot of away games.
Em, gets you thinking doesn't it. My summary is to join if you're able and willing to go to most away games, if you just want to go to some don't join. Waste of money.

It's not the shape of things to come though. It's the, last ever time these two clubs will play.

Maybe but whatever lies ahead its gonna be boring. Only one thing worse than a 2 horse race and that's a one horse race and especially when that horse will be nowhere near a thoroghbred
