Slovenia 2012
Association for non-violent communication – Koper, Slovenia
Wednesday 29 February
In keeping with their aim of donating in every country in which Scotland play an away match, the Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal donated £1000 to a charity in Koper who aim to alleviate the problems faced by children who are victims of domestic violence.
The presentation was a low-key affair in Trieste attended by representatives of the receiving organisation, the Koper Tourist Board and local press.
A (translated) report of the donation can be found here
The Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal thank everyone who supports the Sunshine Appeal. It is through that support that they are able to bring a little bit of sunshine into the lives of children in every country that Scotland visit.
A by-product of the charitable giving is the enhancing of the reputation of Scotland fans all over the world.
The Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal don’t subjectively choose which countries to donate in and which not – the Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal, Everywhere We Go!!

Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal - Logo Relaunch Press Release
May 10 2012 07:39 PM | Admin5 in Tartan Army News
The Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal has today launched its newly designed logo.
The Steering Group were aware of frequent requests from supporters for Sunshine Appeal merchandise. One problem with designing items that could be sold for funds was that the existing logo was difficult and expensive to reproduce. This was prohibitive to creating branded merchandise.
The Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal is the longest running charity funded by Scotland fans, and with it having such a strong bond with its supporters, it was felt that to completely re-design the existing logo would be wrong. Therefore a carefully planned logo, based on the old design, which kept the basic concepts that the Sunshine Appeal stands for, was the best option.
With this, we can now progress and produce a range of merchandise that we hope our supporters will appreciate and wish to purchase, to continue the work of the Sunshine Appeal.
Keep an eye on our website for the launch of new merchandise in the lead up to our World Cup campaign at www.tasunshineappeal.co.uk
Thank you for your continued and valued support.

International Challenge Match
Luxembourg v Scotland
Wednesday 14 November 2012, kick-off TBC
Stade Jose Barthel, Luxembourg
Scotland will take on Australia this August as preparations continue for the FIFA World Cup 2014 Qualifiers. The national side will complete the 2012 fixture calendar with an away match against Luxembourg in November.
Following the positive 1-1 draw with Slovenia in Koper last week, and a training camp and match in the USA in May, Craig Levein’s side will play their final match ahead of the September qualifiers at Easter Road Stadium in Edinburgh.
Craig Levein said: “I’m delighted to finalise our full schedule of matches for 2012. The match against Australia will be our first on home soil this year, and comes directly before two World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Macedonia at Hampden in September. Just last year Australia defeated another of our Group A opponents, Wales, in Cardiff, and have been in good form in their own qualifiers, so I have no doubt that they will provide us with a tough test. We’re all excited about the opportunity to play in front of a home crowd at Easter Road, after two important away fixtures. We then hope to round off a positive year on a high note with another away friendly in Luxembourg. I’m sure that many of our supporters will relish the opportunity to visit the country for the first time in 25 years, and we’re all looking forward to the same fantastic backing that we received in Slovenia last week.”
